The newly introduced obligation to provide proof of vaccination, convalescence or negative test when entering Germany is apparently widely followed by the people.

The federal police checked the evidence of a total of around 155,000 people on the first two days.

In only 616 cases, which corresponds to about 0.4 percent, she had to inform the responsible health authorities of the federal states about missing or incorrect evidence.

The Bavarian border police come to a similarly positive interim result, and in coordination with the federal police, they are now also carrying out spot checks in the Free State because of the test evidence.

On the first day of the tightened entry regulations, the border police checked more than 500 people in the border area as part of the veil manhunt, for which they are already responsible, in addition to almost 4,000 controls at the Bavarian airports in Memmingen and Nuremberg.

According to the Bavarian Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann (CSU), only ten violations were found.

On the second day, the results were also inconspicuously positive.

Mandatory applies regardless of the means of transport

On August 1, 2021, the new version of the coronavirus entry regulation came into force.

The obligation to provide evidence now applies regardless of the means of transport used.

Previously, it was only intended for air traffic.

The obligation applies to all travelers from the age of twelve.

Anyone entering from a virus variant area must be able to show a negative test even if they have been completely vaccinated or recovered.

In addition, travelers who come from high-risk areas and virus variant areas must complete the digital entry registration (DEA) before entering the country.

Here, too, only a very small number of violations were found.

If you cannot provide evidence, you have to take a test

Anyone who cannot or cannot fully provide evidence must immediately take a test, either at the nearest test center or in the district of origin, and present it to the health department within 24 hours.

In addition, these people have committed an administrative offense that is subject to a fine.

In Bavaria, the district administrations are responsible for the procedure.

They also set the amount of the fine.

According to the previously valid catalog of fines for the Corona Entry Ordinance, the range of the fine was between 500 and 10,000 euros, the standard rate was 2,000 euros.

The Munich district office announced this to the FAZ.
