The injury was fatal.

A man in his thirties died after being stabbed Monday evening in Pantin (Seine-Saint-Denis), where his attacker fled, according to AFP police sources.



It all happened around 11 p.m., in a suburban street in this town bordering Paris.

The police found the victim injured with a stabbing weapon in the thorax, according to a police source.

A witness to the scene said he saw a man who for some unknown reason stabbed the victim before fleeing on foot, the source added.



The victim died of his injuries despite the intervention of the emergency services.

She could not be identified immediately.

The investigation was entrusted to the Paris criminal brigade.
