Consumers were shocked when it was discovered that cockroaches were infested and spoiled fruit was used in several stores of a famous Chinese milk tea chain.

A reporter from China's state-run Xinhua News Agency infiltrated and covered the Nay Shed Tea (Nayuki) store.

According to reports, cockroaches came out of the store and several problems were found, including rotting fruit and cheating production times.

On the first day of work, a reporter working for a Nysheda tea store in downtown Beijing found a cockroach the size of a fingernail crawling from the floor of a bread display case to the bakery.

The reporter informed the staff, but the reply came back saying, "It's okay, so there's nothing to worry about."

The presence of cockroaches in the beverage and bread making areas was routine for the staff here, the reporter said.

Another nysheder tea store in Beijing had charred mangoes, and employees were asked to cut off the discolored part and continue using the rest.

Some breads are supposed to be sold within four hours of being made, but some employees continued to sell by changing time stamps on unsold products.

Many netizens said that they were reluctant to use Nysheder tea.

Some were cynical that other competitors would be no different.

After the Xinhua News Agency reported, Nyshadcha took the position that "quality is our lifeline" and deeply apologizes to consumers.

The company said it would first close the two stores and rectify the problem quickly.

He added that he would also request an investigation by the Market Supervisory Authority.
