The President of the Republic made a live on Instagram and Tik Tok to directly answer questions on the vaccination against the coronavirus. The objective is to counter the "false information" and "false rumors" which are circulating. He recalls that vaccination is "the only weapon" in the face of the fourth wave. 

In selfie and t-shirt mode, Emmanuel Macron offered Monday to the French on Instagram and Tik Tok to directly answer all their questions on vaccination, to counter "false information", "false rumors", "sometimes anything "circulating. Black T-shirt and sitting in front of a French flag, the Head of State, on vacation at Fort Brégançon in the Var, posted on his social networks this short one-minute video where he films himself. He recalls that vaccination is "the only weapon" in the face of the fourth wave of Covid-19, with "a little more than 42 million French women and men who have received a vaccine injection" and "a little more than 35 million "who" received the 2 doses and who are therefore duly vaccinated,fully vaccinated ".

"I know that yet many of you are still wondering, are afraid, many hear false information, false rumors, sometimes anything you have to say, so I decided to answer your questions directly. -y, ask me and I will try to be as direct and as clear as possible ", explains Emmanuel Macron.

The initiative of the Head of State comes as the third consecutive Saturday of demonstrations against the health pass was marked by an increased mobilization, more than 200,000 people, at the heart of the summer holidays.

More than 52.6% of French people are now fully vaccinated 

On the vaccination front, 42,592,047 people have received at least one injection (i.e. 63.2% of the total population) and 35,472,139 people now have a complete vaccination schedule (i.e. 52.6% of the total population) , said Sunday the Ministry of Solidarity and Health. The number of people hospitalized reached Saturday according to Public Health France 7,409 against 7,363 Friday, and that of people in critical care services, who welcome the most seriously ill, 1,099 patients against 1,072 the day before.

On the contamination side, the number of new positive cases stood at 23,471 on Saturday against 24,309 on Friday, with a positivity rate stable at 4.3%. The disease killed 43 people in 24 hours in hospital according to figures on Saturday, bringing the total of deaths to 111,898 since the start of the pandemic - including 85,384 in hospital.
