“Please accept my congratulations on your appointment as Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.
I hope that the activities of your government will contribute to the further development of friendly, allied Russian-Armenian relations, ”Putin said.
He added that Russia is ready to continue a constructive dialogue with Yerevan and joint work on topical issues.
The President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian previously appointed Nikol Pashinyan as the Prime Minister of the Republic.
Arshak Karapetyan was appointed to the post of head of the country's Ministry of Defense.
