- We will not have time for everyone before the start of school, but we hope that many will receive one dose in August and that they have received both doses later this autumn, says Urban Tirén, regional chief physician at Jämtland Härjedalen region.

In addition to the drop-in vaccination, you will also be able to make an appointment to get vaccinated by phone or internet from the fifth of August.

Young people who live in Krokom municipality can also book an appointment by calling tomorrow morning.

Need parental consent

The group affected are young people born in 2005 or earlier.

In the case of people who are not of legal age, the region needs the guardian to either accompany them at the time of vaccination, or that they have signed a form proving that they consent to the vaccination.

In some cases, the nurses can also make a maturity assessment on site and see whether the individual himself is capable of deciding whether he wants to be vaccinated.

- My experience is that they can make a decision like this themselves.

We mainly check that they know what it means to be vaccinated, says Tirén.
