It started with Mats wanting to buy a new Iphone.

On Blocket he found an advertisement where a young woman sold the model he was looking for, with a purchase receipt and in unopened packaging, at a good price.

The deal was settled in a parking lot outside a grocery store in Norrköping.

SEK 10,000 was paid in cash and the rest via Swish to a close relative of the young woman.

- I became a little suspicious when she said that she did not have any identification with her to show, but the box was wrapped and looked ok, says Mats.

The police quickly closed the case

When Mats then pulled off the plastic, opened the box and took out the phone, he soon realized that he had been cheated.

It was an Iphone clone, often called Goophone, that the young woman sold to him.

He also realized that the receipt might be genuine, but certainly did not belong to the fake phone he received.

Mats reported the fraud to the police the same afternoon.

Despite the fact that there was a telephone number and a Blocket identity, the police closed the preliminary investigation the next day with the justification that “reconnaissance information that could lead to possible

perpetrator is missing ”.

- It's bad.

They have not made any effort at all, even though there are threads to pull, Mats says.

The swished amount was paid back to Mats after allegations, but SEK 10,000 is gone and he has not managed to get in touch with the young woman again.
