“The number of enforcement proceedings, within which decisions were made on temporary restrictions on the departure of debtors from the Russian Federation, in the first half of the year amounted to 5.9 million,” TASS quotes materials from the Federal Bailiff Service (FSSP).

It is noted that in two months the number of people restricted to travel abroad increased by 800 thousand.

Every tenth of those restricted in the right to leave is an alimony debtor.

Earlier, Vladimir Gruzdev, chairman of the board of the Russian Bar Association (AYR), said that the government commission on legislative activity approved a project that would allow bailiffs to withdraw passports from debtors who are restricted from traveling abroad.
