The Ras Al Khaimah Criminal Court has started the trial of four Gulf nationals accused of kidnapping and detaining a foreign national, and stole from him 25 thousand dirhams, and set next September 15 as the date for the verdict.

The indictment of the Public Prosecution Office in Ras Al Khaimah stated that the four defendants kidnapped and detained the victim in a ruse manner and by using force with the aim of harming him, and stole four mobile phones by coercion and assaulted the integrity of his body, causing him injuries for the purpose of obtaining and keeping the stolen items.

She explained that the defendants (the first and second) entered the victim's websites without his permission, and obtained the secret number of his phone, and ordered their punishment under the Law on Combating Information Technology Crimes, and also ordered the punishment of all the accused under the Criminal Procedures Law.

According to the case documents, according to the statements of one of the witnesses, the defendants lured the victim to a mountainous area and beat him, which led to him suffering various injuries and stole his property.

All the defendants confessed to violating the integrity of the victim's body.

The second defendant in the case said that the first defendant called him and asked them to come to a mountainous area, because he wanted to solve an issue with a person, so he went to him for help, stressing that the first defendant assaulted the safety of the victim, and took four mobile phones from him.

The defense lawyer for the accused, Hanan Al-Bayed, said that the victim recounted a story that does not accept reason or logic, and that what is established in the papers is that the victim is preoccupied with his debt to the first accused with an amount of 100,000 dirhams, and the victim communicated with the first accused, and he attended by taxi, The first defendant paid the delivery fee.

She added that the papers categorically deny any kind of kidnapping, and there is no evidence to confirm the authenticity of the incident.

She explained that the statements of the victim about the theft of his phones and 25 thousand dirhams were contradictory, as the first accused paid the delivery fare, and therefore, the victim did not have the money to be stolen.

It pointed out that the victim's statements were sent, were not supported by evidence, and were not suitable to convict the accused, and demanded the innocence of the accused, based on the mismatch of the record and description in the referral order with the incident, the lack of the elements of the crime, and the contradiction of the victim's statements to each other with the technical evidence, and malicious The accusations against her clients, and the lack of evidence of the crimes referred to the accused.

She stated that all the accused decided that the victim and the first accused had an old friendship relationship, and they had mutual family visits, and that the victim had borrowed 100,000 dirhams from the first accused, and refused to pay it.

She pointed out that the victim was the one who assaulted and beat the first accused, had it not been for the intervention of the rest of the accused, and that the victim tried to dismiss his crimes by filing a clear malicious complaint against her clients.
