The Egyptian army announces the killing of 89 very dangerous infidels in North Sinai

The Egyptian army announced in a statement on Sunday that it had killed 89 very dangerous takfiris during its military operations in the Northeast Sinai, during an unspecified period, indicating that eight of its members were killed and wounded in these operations.

"During the previous period, the heroes of the armed forces succeeded in directing successive strikes against terrorist elements and carrying out a number of qualitative operations that resulted in the killing of 89 highly dangerous takfiri personnel in the areas of operations in northern Sinai.

"As a result of the valiant combat actions of our armed forces in the areas of operations, eight heroes of the armed forces were martyred and wounded," the statement added.

The statement did not specify the period during which the aforementioned military operations took place.

The statement pointed out that automatic weapons, ammunition and explosive devices were seized, pointing to "the discovery and destruction of (13) tunnel openings used by terrorist elements to infiltrate North Sinai.

In addition, 73 automatic rifles, 140 magazines, 5606 multi-caliber bullets, 34 wireless devices and a drone equipped with a camera and a night vision device were seized, in addition to a laptop computer, a number of mobile phones and a set of sums of money.

The General Command of the Armed Forces stated that 404 explosive devices were discovered and destroyed on the main axes and roads, and 4 explosive belts, in addition to the discovery and destruction of 52 cars and 59 motorcycles used by the Takfiri elements in carrying out their terrorist operations.
