On Saturday and Sunday, the Nordic canoe championships will be decided on Rocksjön in Jönköping.

In normal cases, Agnes Klahr competes for Huskvarna canoe club and Viktor Larsson for Jönköping canoe club, but this weekend they represent Sweden at their own home ground.

- It feels so fun to compete here, you feel more at home in the water and know it in a different way than in new waters, says Agnes Klahr from Huskvarna canoe club.

The best canoeists in the Nordic countries are crowned

Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland participate in the Nordic Championships.

In total, there are about 200 canoeists participating in the competition.

Agnes Klahr competes in the class U-21 women, while Viktor Larsson competes in the class U-18 men.

Both compete in several different distances during both Saturday and Sunday.

The different classes that compete during the weekend are U-16 women, U-16 men, U-18 women, U-18 men, U-21 women, U-21 men, and mixed teams in each age category.
