Already at the turn of the year, Philip Botström, 30, announced that he was leaving his post as chairman of SSU at the union's congress in August.
"It's time for a generational change," he said at the time.
Lisa Nåbo, 26 years old, from Rimforsa south of Linköping takes over the baton, SSU announced on Sunday.
The battle for the post was between two women.
The Nomination Committee's publisher, 28-year-old Amalia Rud Pedersen from Gothenburg, received 112 votes.
