Venezuelan Yulimar Rojas was crowned Olympic champion in the triple jump, setting a new world record for the discipline, raised to 15.67 m on her last try, Sunday at the Tokyo Olympics.

Rojas passed the mark of Ukrainian Inessa Kravets, who completed 15.50m in 1995, to overtake Portuguese Patricia Mamona (15.01m) and Spain's Ana Peleteiro (14.87m).
