When SVT Norrbotten comes to visit the punk garden, where someone has managed to grow grapes, we meet Elisabeth Stenbäck, among others, who takes care of her flowers and looks out over the Kalix River.

- It's absolutely fantastic.

I am here every day, says Elisabeth Stenbäck who, like most of the allotment plot owners in the association, lives in an apartment on a daily basis.

Celebrating 100 years

This year, the Swedish Koloniträdgårdsförbundet celebrates 100 years and it was precisely to give overcrowded people an opportunity to get out of their apartments and grow fruit and vegetables that the allotment gardens were created once upon a time.

And of course there are nice crops in the colony area in Kalix, but most people seem to mainly use their lot to enjoy the summer and relax.

Follow us to the colony area in Kalix and see what Sweden's northernmost colony garden looks like in the video above.
