Mohammed bin Rashid issues a set of decrees regarding the boards of directors in Dubai

 His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, may God protect him, in his capacity as Ruler of Dubai, issued Decree No. 31 of 2021 regarding the formation of the Board of Trustees of the British University in Dubai, headed by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum Decree No. 29 of 2021 regarding the formation of the Board of Directors of Dubai Cares headed by Her Excellency Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, and Decree No. 28 of 2021 regarding the formation of the Board of Directors of the Dubai Cares Foundation, headed by Her Excellency Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Managing Director of the Foundation.

In addition to Decree No. 30 of 2021, forming the Board of Directors of the "Watani Al Emarat" Foundation, headed by His Excellency Tamim Mohammed Al Muhairi.

Board of Trustees of the British University in Dubai.

Decree No. 31 of 2021 stipulated the formation of the Board of Trustees of the British University in Dubai headed by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, with the membership of the University’s Vice President, Hussein Hassan Mirza Al Sayegh, Ahmed Butti Al Muhairbi, Sheikha Hind Ali Rashid Al Mualla, and a representative For the Dubai Holding Group, a representative of the British Council in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, a representative of Emirates NBD, a representative of Rolls-Royce International Limited, a representative of the British Business Council, and a representative of Atkins.

The term of membership in the Board of Trustees shall be 3/ 3 years, starting from the date of enforcement of this decree.

The Board of Trustees undertakes the tasks and powers entrusted to it under the founding document and the statute of the university, annexed to Law No. 5 of 2003 regarding the establishment of the British University in Dubai. Decree No. 31 of 2021 is effective from the date of its issuance and is published in the Official Gazette.

Dubai Cares Foundation.

Decree No. 29 of 2021 also stipulated the formation of the Board of Directors of Dubai Cares under the chairmanship of Her Excellency Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, and the membership of Tariq Mohammed Al Gurg, Vice President, Sami Ahmed Al Qamzi, Abdullah Mohammed Al Karam, and Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi, for a period of 3 months. Three years, renewable.

Provided that this decree replaces Decree No. /4/ of 2018, according to which the Board of Directors of Dubai Cares was reconstituted, and any provision in any other legislation to the extent that it contradicts its provisions shall be repealed.

Decree No. 29 of 2021 shall be effective from the date of its issuance, and shall be published in the Official Gazette.

Dubai Women's Establishment.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, may God protect him, in his capacity as Ruler of the Emirate of Dubai, issued Decree No. 28 of 2021 to form the Board of Directors of the Dubai Women's Establishment, headed by His Excellency Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Managing Director of the Foundation And the membership of Hala Youssef Badri, Vice President, Huda Al Sayed Muhammad Al Hashemi, Huda Issa Buhumaid, Khawla Rashid Al Muhairi, Mona Darwish Bu Samra, Fahima Abdul Razzaq Al Bastaki, Al Joud Ahmed Lootah, and Moza Saeed Al Marri, in addition to the membership of the Foundation’s Executive Director.

Decree No. 28 of 2021 shall be effective from the date of its issuance, and shall be published in the Official Gazette.

Watani Al Emarat Foundation.

His Highness also issued Decree No. 30 of 2021 to form the Board of Directors of the Watani Al Emarat Foundation, headed by His Excellency Tamim Mohammed Al Muhairi, and the membership of Saeed Mohammed Al Awaim, Vice President, Mohammed Jaber Al Deeb, Mohammed Salem Al Heli, Dirar Hamid Belhoul, and Abdullah Dhaen Al-Jitbi, and Mohammed Omar Al-Tayer.

Decree No. 30 of 2021 shall be effective from the date of its issuance, and shall be published in the Official Gazette.
