In Germany, as in Hesse, around half of the population is fully vaccinated.

But slowly a certain vaccination fatigue is spreading.

In the 28 vaccination centers in the country, the most recently agreed appointments were increasingly missed or not even asked how to hear.

In order to increase the vaccination rate again, special offers are increasingly being offered.

The vaccination center for the district of Gießen in Heuchelheim wants to attract visitors with a party. For this Friday on Saturday, July 31st, the district has announced a night of vaccinations with music and non-alcoholic cocktails. A district spokesman explains that people in Giessen are also noticeably less willing to vaccinate and want to offer people as low-threshold offers as possible for an injection against the virus. The vaccination night with a small accompanying program should reach a different target group and especially younger people. It starts this Friday at 10 p.m. and ends at 3 a.m. in the morning. The offer is not only aimed at residents of the district, but at all interested parties. Prior registration is not required.

According to the information, all approved preparations are vaccinated.

Drinks will be served free of charge, but a donation box will be set up for the benefit of the victims of the flood disaster.

For vaccination in the stadium

If you want to spice up your vaccination with a pinch of fan feeling, now has the opportunity to do so. On Sunday, August 1st, the vaccination will take place "in the heart of Europe" - in the Frankfurt Eintracht stadium. Together with the Dr. Ziegler GmbH organizes the Eintracht Frankfurt campaign (first vaccination), which is to be followed by the second vaccination on August 22nd. Members, Eintracht fans and people from the region can take part. Interested parties can register by sending an email to in-eintracht-impfen@benediktziegler.de by providing their contact details. "We want to pick up where we had to stop overnight in March 2020 - together in the stadium," invites Eintracht. The fan department also expressly support the vaccination campaign and hope that many people from Eintracht will accept the offer.

In addition, the Hessian Ministry of Social Affairs has announced that from August 2nd, all Hessians can visit the vaccination center of their choice to protect themselves against the corona virus.

The residence principle would then no longer apply.

There is no need to make an appointment, and registration is not required, as the vaccination centers had sufficient vaccines and provided the staff for the campaign.

Only an identification document, such as the identity card or the health insurance card, and, if available, the yellow vaccination certificate would have to be presented.

The second vaccination will then also be administered in the chosen vaccination center.

Vaccinations for children

In the Lahn-Dill district, as well as in the Main-Taunus district, young people from the age of twelve can be vaccinated. In the vaccination center of the Lahn-Dill district, children from all over Hesse between the ages of twelve and 16 can be vaccinated this weekend, as it says on the district's website. Registration is not required. Both custodians must agree to the vaccination, at least one of whom must also be present at the vaccination.

For this age group, only BioNTech's vaccine is used.

The aim of the offer is to give the schoolchildren the opportunity to have their first vaccination during the holidays so that they can have a complete vaccination status at the beginning of the new school year.

The campaign will take place on Saturday, July 31st and on Sunday, August 1st, in the Lahnau vaccination center.

On both days the vaccination is from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Whether the child vaccination campaign will be continued depends on the acceptance of this first appointment, according to the district.

With the “Dein Pflaster” campaign, the Main-Kinzig district continues to invite people to be vaccinated close to their home every Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The offer in the vaccination bus applies to people aged 18 and over who live in the Main-Kinzig district.

The vaccine is inoculated by Johnson & Johnson. The next dates are on August 3rd in the Rodenbach-Halle in Rodenbach and on August 10th at the Freigericht-Halle in Freigericht.
