The Public Prosecution, through a tweet posted on its accounts on social media, clarified the penalty for anyone who publicly publishes the names or photos of victims or witnesses in human trafficking crimes.

Article 6 bis of Federal Law No. 51 of 2006 regarding combating human trafficking crimes stipulates that a penalty of imprisonment and a fine of no less than ten thousand dirhams, or one of these two penalties, shall be imposed on anyone who publicly publishes the names or pictures of victims or witnesses in human trafficking crimes.

The dissemination of this information comes within the framework of the State Public Prosecution's ongoing campaign to enhance the legal culture among members of society and in conjunction with the International Day for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings with the aim of spreading the culture of law as a way of life.
