Léa Labrousse was eliminated in qualifying for the women's trampoline event at the Tokyo Olympics on Friday.

The 24-year-old trampolinist off-center the canvas and fell on the safety mattresses on her first pass, finishing 16th and last in this first routine, where each competitor must present at least four difficulties.

Her mark of 14.015 points turned out to be crippling for the rest, despite a much better second pass (free exercise) where she obtained 54.070 points.

With a total of 68.085 points, the Frenchwoman, in tears at the end of these qualifications, took 12th place while only the first eight go to the final.

"I am very disappointed," reacted Léa Labrousse, still very moved in the mixed zone.

This mistake, I never make it.

It is today that I made it.

I'm making a stupid mistake. "

"It's frustrating, especially when you see the final results. The final was very accessible. When I succeed, I always score above 100. There it came (in the final) to 99", a- she added.

The Frenchwoman made an appointment for the next Olympics: "Paris for sure and 2028, I also think anyway. But there may not be finals as accessible" as that of this Friday, still regretted the young lady.

Injured in April, Labrousse had gradually returned to her best level with a silver medal at the European Championships, a first for the French team in this discipline.

There will still be a chance at the French camp with the men's event scheduled for Saturday in which Allan Morante, 26, bronze in the synchronized event of the 2015 Worlds, will be in contention.

France has always been chasing an Olympic medal since the appearance of this sport at the Sydney Olympics in 2000.
