He noted that a large part of the gas distribution market in the country is in the hands of businessman Dmitry Firtash and Kiev needs to figure out how this could happen.

Earlier, the head of the GTS Operator of Ukraine, Serhiy Makogon, announced the possibility of Russia's complete cessation of gas transit through Ukraine.

He also added that the Russian company has already closed several compressor stations on the transit route through Ukraine as part of capacity optimization.
