The housing agency in Stockholm, which mediates vacant rental apartments in the Stockholm region, states that most landlords do not have a physical display of apartments during the pandemic.

- It is difficult for us to produce an exact figure, but it is about 10 percent of the companies that have physical screenings today, says marketing manager Marika Nordström.

She states that a couple of larger companies returned to the show just before the summer and that some others are trying to arrange if there is a need.

The alternative is to see the drawing of the apartment and photos, in some cases video.

Boplats syd, which is a municipal housing agency owned by the city of Malmö, states that there are mainly digital displays of apartments at present.

- There is still some physical but not at all to the extent that was before the pandemic, says Frans Stoops, administrative manager.

Digital can be the future

An example is HSB Malmö, which only has digital views.

This means that it must look at an apartment to take part in photographs and in some cases a pre-recorded film.

- It has actually exceeded expectations.

So good that we are thinking about whether you really need to go back to the old that requires you to agree on time and so on, says Mia Gustafsson, who is responsible for the press.

The housing company Riksbyggen has chosen a middle way and lets tenants choose whether they want to see the apartment on site or just look at pictures and drawings.

Today, about a quarter of those who rent via Riksbyggen choose to go on a physical tour.

- We plan to continue working as we do.

If a tenant wants a viewing, we will offer it, but we will not be required to have seen the apartment before signing a contract, says Riksbygg's property manager Cipi Jugovic.

Pictures - if any

Boplats Göteborg states that in principle there are no physical displays of tenancies at the municipal company.

A decision that is valid until October.

The majority of housing companies instead post pictures in a display system.

- Among the private ones, there is a bit of a mix, there are those who only have physical and those who have pictures when there are pictures, and if they do not have pictures, you have to make a decision on the basis of the ad, says Camilla Dafgård, marketing manager.
