The President of the Republic Sauli Niinistö was one of the Finnish sports fans who woke up before five in the morning to watch the swimmer Matti Mattsson's Olympic final.

The early awakening was rewarded: Mattsson swam bronze in the 200-meter breaststroke with a new Finnish record.

The medal was Finland's first at the Tokyo Olympics.

- Great Matti Mattsson.

Thanks and good luck!
