On May 29, 2020, on the territory of TPP-3 of the Norilsk-Taimyr Energy Company, which is part of the Norilsk Nickel Group, a tank with diesel fuel was depressurized, which led to a spill.
Later, Rosprirodnadzor filed a lawsuit against JSC Norilsk-Taimyr Energy Company with a claim for compensation of 147.7 billion rubles.
Norilsk Nickel said it considers it premature to demand the payment of the fine.
