More than 1.2 million people remain under medical supervision: 23 270 new cases of COVID-19 were detected in Russia per day

Over the past day, 23 270 new cases of coronavirus infection were detected in Russia, of which the largest number is in Moscow (3356), St. Petersburg (1925) and the Moscow region (1325).

During this time, 20,834 people recovered, 799 patients died.

The total number of COVID-19 cases registered in the country has reached 6,218,502, and 5,568,363 patients have recovered since the beginning of the pandemic in Russia.

156 977 people died from complications due to coronavirus infection and concomitant diseases. 

According to Rospotrebnadzor, over 164.2 million laboratory tests for the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus have been carried out in the country, more than 1.225 million people remain under medical supervision.

The operational headquarters to combat the spread of coronavirus clarified that 984 people with COVID-19 were hospitalized in Moscow over the past day, 79 patients died.

The head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova said that about 20 million people underwent the full cycle of vaccination against COVID-19 in Russia with Sputnik V, about 1 million with EpiVacCoronoi, and about 300 thousand with the CoviVac vaccine.

The head of the department clarified that the incidence of a new coronavirus infection is decreasing in ten Russian regions, and in another 14 constituent entities of Russia, a stabilization of the epidemic situation with the spread of coronavirus is observed.

She also explained why it is necessary to form a collective immunity to COVID-19 at the level of 80% - this, according to her, is associated with mutations of the coronavirus.

The head of Rospotrebnadzor clarified that COVID-19 has been mutating very intensively in the past six months and is becoming more and more volatile.

In addition, Popova noted that among those who completed the vaccination against COVID-19, only a small percentage are infected with the coronavirus. 

"Among those vaccinated with a full cycle of illnesses, 0.7-0.8% for each vaccine," said the head of Rospotrebnadzor.

In turn, Alexander Gorelov, deputy director for scientific work of the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology of Rospotrebnadzor, said that the situation with coronavirus infection COVID-19 in Moscow and St. Petersburg is entering a stabilization phase.

He also added that in a number of regions, the spread of coronavirus is less than one, which means that the increase in incidence has stopped.

Meanwhile, the GKU "Organizer of Transportation" reported that the number of violations of the mask regime in Moscow's transport decreased by 10% over the month.

“In June, we identified over 40,000 such violations.

In July, we noticed a decrease: today there are 34 thousand violations, ”said Elena Myasishcheva, deputy head of the GKU.

She recalled that responsibility for the corresponding violation is provided for by Part 4 of Art.

3.18.1 of the Moscow Code of Administrative Offenses, which involves a fine of 5 thousand rubles.

It is clarified that sites are understood as both independent web pages on the Internet and pages on social networks.

The department also recalled criminal punishment for spreading fakes.

As the chairman of the Federation Council committee on constitutional legislation, Andrei Klishas, ​​said in June, you can get up to one year in prison for buying a fake coronavirus vaccination certificate. At the same time, buyers of forged documents face criminal liability, regardless of whether they were used or not.
