This is not the first time that Region Kalmar has attracted vaccination by setting up a drop-in clinic.
Previously, the region has implemented the investment in other areas where the vaccination rate has been low, such as in the residential area Kungshall in Nybro.
- People have not had it so easy to understand this with the vaccination, says Susanne Rylander, who is project manager for the vaccination in Region Kalmar.
After two days of drop-in in Nybro, they had managed to give 120 people the first dose.
In total, there are about 20 places in Kalmar County where the region has identified that the willingness to vaccinate has been lower compared to other areas.
Battle stream of interested
Now the turn has come to the area Stålhagen in Hultsfred and during the time SVT Småland was in place, there was a steady stream of people who wanted to get vaccinated.
There are two Arabic-speaking doctors on site who give the vaccine doses.
23-year-old Ahmed Sharhule has taken the opportunity and brought his mother to the drop-in reception.
- I wanted to get vaccinated so that my mother feels the courage to do so so she does not get corona, says Ahmed Sharhule.
