The water situation is particularly strained in places such as Ljugarn, Slite and in Östergarnslandet.
The technology administration on Gotland describes the situation as more than strained at Sudersand on Fårö - where they have been forced to drive out extra water with tankers.
- Despite the fact that we have built a brackish waterworks on southern Gotland, the water situation is very strained right now.
We know that it is not due to leaks, we get control of those that occur quickly, but it is the large number of people who currently use a lot of water, says Patrik Johansson, head of the drinking water unit / VA department in Region Gotland in a press release .
The region now urges everyone on Gotland to save on water.
