Svetlana Tikhanovskaya is on tour in the United States.
The Belarusian opponent, who arrived in the American capital on July 18, went to the west coast and then had talks in New York before returning to Washington, where she was received by the American president.

affirms that "
the United States stands by the side of the Belarusian people in their quest for democracy and universal human rights
".
Previously,
the presidential candidate
on August 9, had the opportunity to meet with the head of American diplomacy, Antony Blinken, his national security adviser Jake Sullivan and with several other senior American officials.
