July 29, 2021 He flew his drone over the center of Rome, flying it near airliners up to a height of two thousand meters when the limit allowed is 120 meters above the ground.

This is the accusation against a 61-year-old against whom the Postal Police, coordinated by the Tivoli prosecutor, has triggered a complaint for an attack on transport safety.

The man was one of the animators of a very popular Facebook page of fans of the sector in which videos and images of drones flying over inhabited centers, parks, protected areas and even above the airport areas well beyond the permitted heights were posted. identification was obtained thanks to the recommendation of a professional driver, as well as from those of several citizens.

The experts of the National Cybercrime Center of the Postal Police (Cnaipic) have reconstructed the computer traces left by images and videos and, with the collaboration of ENAC, have come to identify the 61-year-old, who had posted a video of the drone flying over the skies of Rome, near an airliner.

A house search was thus triggered which made it possible to seize the original footage as well as the drones, along with other videos for hundreds of illegal flying hours.
