A first indictment after the firework mortar fire which injured three police officers in Bonneuil-sur-Marne (Val-de-Marne), Sunday.

The suspect is a 16-year-old teenager, the Créteil prosecutor's office said.

He was indicted for "attempted murder of a person holding public authority in an organized gang".

The young man would not be at the origin of the mortar fire.

At the end of the Sunday afternoon, a patrol of three police officers from the Créteil anti-crime brigade was attacked by young people before being targeted by fireworks mortars.

On Tuesday, investigators released five other young people aged 14 to 16, also placed in police custody.

“Active” participants are sought, out of a total of “around forty young people”.

In the wake of the violence on Sunday, an investigation, entrusted to the departmental security, was opened for "attempted murder on a person holding public authority, complicity in this attempt, aggravated violence, death threats and recording and broadcasting violent images ”.

One of the police officers, 37 years old and member of the BAC of Créteil, was burned in the second degree in the lower back by a fireworks mortar, without his life threatening being engaged.

He was given 15 days of ITT.

His two colleagues were also injured in the eardrums and were delivered 15 and 10 days of ITT, according to the prosecution which specified that they "presented hearing loss".

Coming to support the police at the Créteil police station, the Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin denounced a "real assassination attempt".
