Two suspects were arrested this Wednesday at the end of the morning on a motorway rest area in Moselle, the day after the robbery of a Chaumet jewelry store in Paris, we learned from the Paris prosecutor's office and from a police source.
A substantial part of the loot was found in their possession.
The robbery took place Tuesday afternoon in a boutique of the prestigious jeweler Chaumet, near the Champs-Elysées.
A man, who had come on a scooter, had burst into the store around 5 p.m. with a handgun and had been given jewelry and precious stones, without violence, before also leaving on a scooter, for a loot estimated between 2 and 3 millions of euros.
