Three tractors were stolen last weekend in the municipalities of Tagsdorf, Schlierbach and Reiningue, in the Haut-Rhin.
It remained to hide them ... The thugs did not succeed and Monday, the three vehicles were discovered in a nearby forest, reports France Bleu Alsace.
The police were very lucky at the time as two officials came across the tractors while training their dogs.
They then arrested the individuals who were busy with the vehicles before handing them over to the gendarmes.
