In the clip, Greger Strömqvist talks about the consequences the stop can have and what he wants from actors and politicians.

At the beginning of July, a decision was made by the Supreme Land and Environmental Court that the company Cementa in Slite on Gotland will no longer be allowed to continue mining limestone for cement production.

Something that, according to the decision, will apply from the first of November.

Cement today accounts for three quarters of the cement used in Sweden and after the announcement, the construction industry has sounded the alarm that construction will stop.

Thousands of jobs in danger

As a result, other industries will also be affected.

Among other things, the haulage industry, which, according to Greger Strömqvist, gathers over 200,000 people and has about 40 percent of the companies linked to the construction industry.

Despite the fact that thousands of jobs are thus floating in uncertainty, he thinks it is worryingly silent from industry players and politicians.

- Everyone seems to have gone on holiday and no one seems to take this seriously, says Greger Strömqvist.

Cementa has announced that they will appeal the decision of the Supreme Land and Environmental Court.
