At a meeting on preparations for the academic year, the head of state recalled the decree, according to which it is necessary to prepare a program for capital repairs of schools until 2026.
“We have 39.6 thousand schools, and they use buildings and structures, there are only 67.5 thousand of them, of which about 10% require major repairs, and less than 1% (not many, but nevertheless unacceptable) schools are located in emergency condition, "- said Putin.
Speaking at the 20th congress of the United Russia party in June, Putin instructed the government, together with the regions, to prepare a special program for the overhaul of schools for the next five years, with an emphasis on rural schools.
