Benny Gantz met with his French counterpart, Florence Parly, to share the first elements gathered by the Israeli government in the Pegasus dossier concerning France.

In a statement released after the interview, Benny Gantz's services said Israel "takes the accusations seriously" and grants computer licenses "only to nations and states, and only for the purpose of fighting. terrorism and crime ".

According to an investigation carried out by a consortium of 17 media including Le Monde and Radio France, the Moroccan intelligence services used Pegasus for the purpose of hacking or attempting to hack the phones of the French president.

After the revelations about the NSO software in the press, an interministerial team was set up in Israel to analyze a possible misuse of the program.

NSO dismissed the charges, assuring that Pegasus was only intended for government agencies to help them fight crime and terrorism.
