A visit to the stadium can be an incentive for unvaccinated people to get a preventive injection against Covid-19.

At least that's what the Frankfurt health department head Stefan Majer thinks.

It remains to be seen whether all 10,000 fans will be vaccinated in the Waldstadion on Saturday.

In any case, Eintracht can sell as many tickets for their test match.

The country has turned in a dispute with the club and the city.

Meanwhile, the municipalities are trying to further increase the vaccination rate with so-called low-threshold offers. The district of Giessen is asking for “vaccination night” this Friday. From 10 p.m. there will be music, light show, non-alcoholic cocktails and of course corona vaccinations. The special party in the vaccination center in Heuchelheim should last until 3 a.m. Pre-registration is not necessary. The drinks are free for visitors, but a donation box will be set up for the benefit of the flood victims. In addition, the district sends mobile vaccination teams to the district communities, for example to the parking spaces of supermarkets. A vaccination bus is touring in the Main-Kinzig district under the motto "Your plaster". A special vaccination campaign for people over the age of 16 starts this Wednesday in Frankfurt, and has been running in Marburg since Tuesday.

Hesse is still lagging behind the federal average, and the fact that the key figure has been falling slightly for two days is no consolation. Only a few federal states have a higher incidence, i.e. more corona cases among 100,000 inhabitants confirmed within a week. And Frankfurt stands out in Hessen, although the trend seems favorable. “There is finally enough vaccine available for everyone. Now it is a matter of really accelerating the vaccination and making the way to the vaccination as easy as possible, ”says Majer.

According to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), Hessian health authorities reported 226 more positive PCR tests overnight, two fewer than a week ago.

But four weeks ago there were only 92.

294,058 infections have been reported since the beginning of the pandemic.

About 1900 of them are not yet cured, 100 fewer than on Tuesday.

Good news: The offices have not reported any further deaths in connection with the pandemic.

It remains at 7579 people in Hesse who officially died of or with Covid-19.

40 people with Covid-19 disease are in intensive care units in Hessen, one less than on Tuesday.

According to Divi, 14 of them had to be ventilated.

Divi stands for German Interdisciplinary Association for Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine.

60.6 percent of the Hessians with the first vaccination

The centrally located federal state is still below the federal average for both vaccination rates: According to the latest data, 60.6 percent of people in Hesse received a first vaccination against the coronavirus, 0.1 percent more than on Monday.

Hessen is now 0.4 points below the national average.

The gap has recently closed somewhat.

The front runner is Bremen with 69.9 percent of first-time vaccinations - Rhineland-Palatinate comes in at 62.3.

Hesse also lags behind the federal mean for the fully vaccinated.

Hesse comes in at 49.1 percent, which is 0.6 points less than the average, while Rhineland-Palatinate has 50 percent after 45.3.

3.81 million people in Hesse are vaccinated at least once, 3.086 million already have complete vaccination protection.

Hessen has a total of around 6.6 million inhabitants.

The incidence in Hesse has fallen from 17 to 16.7, but only five federal states have a higher value.

Frankfurt is no longer at the top in Hesse, as the index has fallen from a good 33 to 25.

Darmstadt now has the highest incidence with 30.6, followed by Offenbach with 29.2.

After a new case in the Hersfeld-Rotenburg district, there is no region in Hesse without a clean slate.

Resident doctors and staff have so far administered almost 2.52 million vaccinations, as the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians announced.

Since the beginning of April, the general practitioners' practices in Hesse have also been vaccinated against Covid-19, a little later the specialist practices and, on June 7th, the company doctors were added.
