In April this year, several violent crimes occurred in Landskrona.

A man was found badly stabbed in a parking lot, a 20-year-old was shot less than a day later and shortly afterwards the police found a knife-cut man just a few kilometers away from the place where the shooting occurred.

Due to the unrest, the police increased their presence in the city and on the evening of April 24, the police saw some men at a car that they suspected.

The police saw a young man with a black object in his hand who suddenly started running from there.

Tossed the weapon away

A police patrol chased the young man and saw that he got rid of the object, wrapped in a jacket, at some parked cars.

In the jacket was a sharp-charged pistol and shortly afterwards he could be arrested.

At the same time, a policeman was left by the car where the other men remained and then discovered another weapon on the ground - which later turned out to be sharply charged.

DNA evidence

After examining the weapon at the National Forensic Center, a 22-year-old man's DNA matched in several places on the gun.

DNA on ammunition, which was found during a house search, also matched the man.

The 17-year-old and 22-year-old are now being prosecuted at Lund District Court for a serious gun crime.

According to Helsingborgs Dagblad, investigations are also underway into more serious crimes linked to the events.
