Travelers from the European Union and the United States who are fully vaccinated should soon be able to travel to England without having to go into quarantine there.

As the BBC reports, the British government's Covid Committee decided on Wednesday.

The decision only applies to England, but it is expected that at least Wales will follow suit.

Northern Ireland and Scotland have yet to decide whether to join this.

The decision means vaccination records from the European Union and the United States will be recognized in England. So far this has not been the case. So far, only those arriving have been able to bypass the quarantine if they had been vaccinated in the UK. There were fewer government concerns about digital evidence from the European Union than those from the United States. There, the design is not up to the government in Washington DC, but to the governments of the states. As the British media reported on Wednesday, there were fears about the forgery-proof nature of American paper IDs.

Conservative MP Roger Gale said the decision was important to the UK tourism industry.

The fact that it is difficult to verify that American vaccination records are actually genuine is "not ideal", but something must be done to save the UK travel industry.

The opposition Labor Party criticized the government's plan even before the decision was made.

Party's vice chairwoman Angela Rayner said she understood that people wanted to go back to normal and travel.

However, the government's plans are "reckless".

She warned that a new variant of the virus could be introduced into the country.
