It is too early to see what the figures will be this year, but Norwegian tourists are an important source of income in the summer.

And this year, they are not many due to the restrictions.

Tourism a complex network to count results on.

- The hospitality industry is a network economy where approximately five different categories are included, says the vice president of Swedish Lapland, Annika Fredriksson.

  • Stay

  • Eat

  • Do

  • Trip

  • Act

But there are also nuances in those categories.

- You can choose to stay in a hotel, and choose to go to a restaurant, says Annika Fredriksson.

Or you live in a cottage with self-catering, and then you become a larger consumer at Coop or Ica.

Or you live in a motorhome or tent.

And nature tourism in particular seems to be the form of tourism that is recovering the fastest, she says.

Annnika Fredriksson herself has chosen to test her home just a few miles from home.

She and her family have taken in a hotel, which actually caters to American and Asian tourists in winter with an exclusive package.
