Since the start of the withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan, and especially the victories of the Afghan insurgents, India has been vulnerable.

Pakistani militants who fight with the Taliban could target its interests, as during the attack on its embassy in Kabul in 2008. Its foreign minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar therefore urged the Taliban to end this alliance with Pakistan and to resume the negotiations.

He also said he was very worried about the atrocities committed by the Taliban in recent days: “

The Taliban say they want international recognition, the end of sanctions and the possibility for their leaders to travel freely abroad.

But it is not by taking the country by force and violating the rights of its people that they will get there.

By doing so, Afghanistan risks becoming a pariah state.

 "

The Taliban say they do not want to take control of the country by force.

But they also don't seem very interested in the ongoing negotiations in Qatar.
