It was at 15 o'clock on Tuesday afternoon that a younger man fell from a scaffolding, or alternatively a roof in Smedjebacken.
Police say the man did not fall from a high altitude, but still received serious injuries.
Ambulance and police were alerted to the scene of the accident, which is now being investigated as a workplace accident.
