Holidaying Swedes are enjoying in their places the sunny weather that July now offers.

And judging by pictures from some well-attended beach walks, at least some seem to take the increasing spread of infection in recent times calmly.

But keeping your distance and avoiding crowds is still important, according to Anders Tegnell.

- Of course it's not okay, he says about the pictures.

We are still in a pandemic, it is definitely in Sweden.

Not least, this is due to an increased spread of infection in several European countries, where many Swedes now go.

A large proportion of the confirmed disease cases have links to traveling outside the country's borders.

The next phase in the abolition of restrictions is planned for September, when, among other things, participation restrictions for private gatherings and public events will be abolished.

But if the current trend is not broken, the plan risks going awry, according to Anders Tegnell.

- We do not want to enter the autumn with a relatively high spread of infection.

Then it will be more difficult and we can definitely not go ahead with easing the restrictions more.
