Public administration holds good news.

The government of socialist Pedro Sanchez is preparing this Tuesday, July 27 to announce the largest public job offer in history in Spain: 30,445 positions for civil servants, or 8.5% more than in 2020, which was already a generous year in this area.

As in other sectors of activity in Spain, such as hotels and services, precariousness is high in the public administration where many civil servants cannot count on a permanent job.

The announcement

by Pedro Sanchez's government

does not solve the problem in itself, but it will help stabilize part of the civil service with this important guaranteed job offer.

It is seen as very good news as the administration has experienced a period of instability since the start of the pandemic.

Funding by the European recovery plan

The offers of new positions are especially abundant in the police, scientific and technological fields, or in mathematics.

Already, the number of public offers in the administration has been on the rise since 2018, with more than 100,000 new civil servant jobs.

This time, the increase will be mainly financed by European stimulus aid from which Spain benefits to the tune of 140 billion euros.

For the head of government Pedro Sanchez, it is thus a question of improving the public administration, of making it more flexible, of modernizing it.

What also passes, in his words, by "

the strengthening of human capital
