After years of disagreements between the previous owner and the current one, all activities at the campsite have stopped.

Ironically, however, the right of public access applies, which means that many people use the beach, which in turn has at times led to littering.

When SVT visits Salusand, it is the decay that is obvious, more than the littering.

Complicated litigation

The background to the closure is, in short, that the current owner believes that the municipality's demand for refurbishment of, among other things, the sewer has meant that she could not afford to open the campsite.

At the same time, a legal dispute has arisen between a previous owner's bankruptcy trustee and the current owner where the cases have been extensive and ongoing for a long time.

According to the District Court's judgment, the current owner lost the cases in all parts and was forced to pay court costs both for himself and the bankruptcy estate.

Holiday enjoyers

In the video, you hear some holidaymakers talk about their impression of the dilapidated facility and what to do with it.

SVT Västernorrland has sought the owner who could not be reached.
