She stated this during a meeting of the UN Security Council.

According to her, the collapsing Joint Peacekeeping Operation of the African Union and the United Nations in Darfur has successfully coped with the tasks assigned to it.

“The time has come to give priority attention to the restoration and economic development of the region,” TASS quoted her as saying.

According to her, Sudan is facing multiple challenges, including an increase in the number of refugees from African states and the spread of the coronavirus. 

“We have to overcome socio-economic difficulties,” she said.

In June, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, at a meeting with Sudanese Defense Minister Yasin Ibrahim, assessed the level of military cooperation between the two countries.
