In the Lübcke investigation committee of the Hessian state parliament, the address of the threatened Frankfurt lawyer Seda Basay-Yildiz, apparently contained in a classified document, triggered a conflict.

The chairman of the committee, Christian Heinz (CDU) rejected allegations of the chairman of the left, Herman Schaus, on Tuesday.

He had complained that Heinz had forwarded a letter from the state government.

The impression created by this of a not clearly defined distribution list is wrong, said Heinz.

The chairmen of the parliamentary groups, the rapporteurs and their specially checked employees were informed of the letter from the state government in mid-July.

They were authorized to handle classified information and formally obliged to maintain secrecy.

The parliamentary groups had been informed in the letter that the committee had the option of classifying the file named in the letter with the address of the Frankfurt lawyer with a higher degree of confidentiality.

"So far there has been no reaction to this suggestion - not even from Mr Schaus", Heinz stated.

"The allegations are also disconcerting because the opposition factions have repeatedly requested that all relevant letters to the committee be informed immediately."
