In Lebanon, the Middle East, where political turmoil continues, former Prime Minister Mikati was nominated as a new candidate for Prime Minister on the 26th.

It is unclear whether the conflict between political powers will lead to a difficult situation for the Cabinet, which will lead to the resolution of the prolonged political gap and economic crisis.

In Lebanon, the Cabinet resigned in a responsible manner after the massive explosion that killed more than 200 people in the capital Beirut last August, but the next cabinet could be established due to the conflict of political powers. The political gap has been going on for almost a year.

Under these circumstances, on the 26th, President Aung nominated Mr. Mikati, a former prime minister and businessman, as a new candidate for prime minister and ordered the cabinet.

In response to the nomination, Mr. Mikati said, "I have no magic, and I can't do miracles. It's a difficult situation, but if we work together, we can succeed," and asked each political force to cooperate with the Cabinet.

Lebanon is facing a serious economic crisis due to the de facto default = default in March last year and the spread of the new coronavirus, and the new administration will receive financial support from the international community. There is an urgent need to launch it.

However, in the last year or so, two candidates for the prime minister have abandoned the formation of the cabinet, and it is expected that the formation of the cabinet will be difficult due to the adjustment of interests between different religions and denominations. It is unclear whether it will lead to a solution.
