One person died in an explosion at an enterprise in Leverkusen, Germany, four more were seriously injured, five employees are listed as missing, according to Bild, the head of the city's construction department, Andrea Deppé, said.
“We must report that we have, unfortunately, one dead,” he said in an interview with Die Welt, the newspaper writes.
The police have not yet commented on this information.
The explosion reportedly occurred at a waste disposal center operated by Currenta.
