“This decision was made on July 27 by the court of the Zheleznodorozhny district of Gomel,” she said in her Telegram channel.

According to her, the reason for this was the materials of the audit of the department for combating organized crime and corruption in the Gomel region.

The department recalled that the dissemination of information from extremist sources entails administrative responsibility with a penalty in the form of a fine or arrest.

In February, a Minsk court sentenced two Belsat journalists to two years in prison. 

They were found guilty of organizing actions that grossly violate public order.
