The divisional commissioner Jean Laguel Civil is being held in a prison in Delmas, a town bordering Port-au-Prince.

He was one of the 4 senior officers of the Haitian national police responsible for the security of Jovenel Moïse.

He is now suspected of having played a role in the assassination of

President Jovenel Moïse.

The commissioner of the government of Port-au-Prince, Maître Bed-ford Claude, had already asked the immigration and emigration services to prohibit these four men from leaving the country.

Haitian police have so far arrested around 20 Colombian mercenaries.

She claims to have uncovered a plot organized by a group of Haitians with foreign links.

But many

gray areas remain.

Threats to investigators

Also as part of this investigation, the police also issued a wanted notice targeting Wendelle Coq Thélot, a judge at the Court of Cassation, the highest judicial body in the country.

The magistrate had been retired by President Moïse.

And then,

CNN

reveals documents presented as internal to the Department of Justice, which report numerous threats against investigators.

This is the case of the deputy justice of the peace of the Municipality of Pétion-Ville, Carl Henry Destin who had carried out the legal declaration of the death of Jovenel Moïse and who confided on American television that he was forced to hide. .
