The investigation into the death of a man, which occurred on Saturday in a squat in Orléans, is progressing.
A 40-year-old man has been indicted and imprisoned for intentional homicide after the death of a young man, the city's public prosecutor's office announced on Tuesday.
Friday evening, the Orleans firefighters intervened urgently in a place occupied by homeless people to come to the aid of a person injured by a stabbing weapon.
The victim, a 29-year-old man, from "a disadvantaged background", "died of his injuries on the spot," said prosecutor Emmanuelle Bochenek-Puren in a statement.
Remanded in custody
The alleged stabbing perpetrator, who fled after the incident, was finally arrested on Saturday afternoon and taken into police custody.
