China News Service, July 27. According to Taiwan’s "Central News Agency" report, the Taiwan Epidemic Command Center announced on the 27th that there were 16 newly confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia and 1 imported case of new coronary pneumonia on the island; 1 new death case.
The command center stated that of the 16 new locally confirmed cases, 7 of them tested positive during the home quarantine period or after the expiry date. They were 11 males and 5 females, aged in their 30s to 60s, and the date of onset was 7 July 14th to July 26th.
The distribution of cases is mostly in Taoyuan City with 6 cases, followed by 5 cases in Taipei City, 4 cases in New Taipei City, and 1 case in Hsinchu County; 11 cases are known sources of infection, 4 cases are unknown, and 1 case is under investigation.
